Frequently Asked Questions

What materials do you use?

As a mixed media artist, I incorporate various art materials in my process. Primarily, I use acrylic paints, paper collage, oil pastels, pens and acrylic mediums.

I finish my pieces with UV protective varnish and/or an isolation coat of acrylic medium with a buffed wax top coat.

How do you ship the artwork?

Paper pieces are carefully wrapped in tissue paper and backed with sturdy cardboard, and sent flat. Wooden panels are protected by layers of bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard with corner protection.

All my artwork is shipped via DHL, the cost is added at checkout and depends on where in the world you are. I ship globally from The Netherlands so transit times can vary.

Please note that all customs charges or import duties are the responsibility of the customer, and these may vary.

Do you accept commissions?

Generally I only undertake commissions that are within the current scope of my work, but I am happy to work with colour pallet and size requirements. No obligations and no hard sell. Please contact me to discuss your dream piece!

How do I frame my piece of art?

Paintings on wood panel can be purchased framed or unframed. Select your preferred option before adding your painting to the shopping cart. I frame in wooden ‘tray’ frames, and glue the panels into the frame with wood glue. The frames have a natural wood finish, but can be painted white or black if you prefer, please contact me to discuss. Alternatively, choose to buy unframed and frame yourself to your own style!

Paintings on paper are only available unframed. Paper pieces are usually framed behind glass to protect them from wear and tear, but there are other ways to display work on paper. You can take your paper piece to your local framer for more advice, or frame yourself with shop-bought frames. Please contact me to discuss if you need any more advice regarding frames.

How do I buy a piece of art for someone else as a gift?

I’m more than happy to help make your gift as special as possible. I always include a gift card with each purchase, and can customise the message for you. Each piece always comes wrapped in tissue paper, and I am more than happy to add a layer of gift wrap to the piece, and provide a gift receipt without prices.

If you prefer for the recipient to choose their own piece of art, you can purchase a voucher with gift card.

If you would like to discuss your gift purchase further, please feel free to contact me.

What’s your returns policy?

I sincerely hope that you will be delighted with your artwork, but if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact me within 14 days for a full refund. You will be required to send the piece back in the same packaging, at your own expense, and the cost of the artwork will be refunded in full (minus shipping costs).

If your artwork arrives damaged please contact me within 14 days with photos and we can discuss on a case-by-case basis (so far DHL have been very reliable, so hopefully this won’t be a problem!).
