This body of work, from late 2019 and early 2020 were made in the process of skill building and experimentation. They demonstrate the move into mixed media abstract, utilising techniques such as collage and multiple layers of paint and other media. I also started to paint on wood panels for the first time and enjoyed the ability to scratch, scrape and sand back into the paint to reveal earlier layers.
